We have an opportunity to hear from the Chair on the Lancaster County Commissioners on May 5. Told Wiltgen will be at Lincoln South Rotary to provide an update on the Lancaster County budget.
Derek is the Director of Sales & Operations for the Convention and Visitors Bureau. He works on recruiting new events to Lincoln and retaining those that we have hosted. Also working with the Chamber of Commerce he helps promote Lincoln events.
He has a political science degree. He feels that membership in Lincoln South Rotary helps keep him connected to the Community.
The Lincoln South Rotary Club Board of Directors is pleased to nominate Suzanne Tyrrell as the Club President 2018-19. Upon motion by Cheryl Brandenburgh, seconded by Tom Hyde and approved by the Club, Suzanne was elected to the Board of Lincoln South Rotary Club.
Annual Membership Renewal Notices and Dues Billings will be mailed out in the near future.
Prior to this, there have been no changes in the dues amount for 5 years. This year we are increasing the dues by only $5 to help with some of the additional costs. Following are the items that will be shown on your statement:
The meeting where we will hear from our Scholarship finalists and select the awards will be May 12, 2017.

For those of you who were at Rotary on April 21, we apologize as there was an error in the announcement about the gift from Venue/Goodscents. Though they provided a very nice gift, it will not be the items as announced.
The Lincoln South Rotary Club Board was approached about our meeting day. A survey was conducted to determine if Friday was serving our Members and Club well or would there be a benefit to change to Thursday.
There will be no change at this time as there were not a significant number of responses indicating that a change should be made.
