Scott Frakes, Director of the Nebraska Department of Corrections, was our speaker on January 6.

 

The presentation started with a response to the question that has often been asked. Director Frakes has been in his position for 2 years but there are a number of problems that linger. As Scott pointed out, there are a number of programs being reviewed, a number of initiatives being developed, but the Department cannot spend all of their resources on the changes. Instead they must continue to run the corrections system - keep attending to the daily operations at the facilities.

Lincoln South Rotary Club will offer Nuts, Candy and Coffee products again this year for the Holidays. 

 

Funds are used to support our community service projects such as the Dictionary program and high school scholarships.
