Want to know more about the water system - the numerous assets and infrastructure and what it takes to supply, treat and distribute water? On Friday March 10, Steve Owens - Superintendent of Water Production for the Lincoln Water System will be at Lincoln South Rotary Club.

March 3 at Lincoln South Rotary

On March 3 our speaker was Jane Gustafson, Marketing and Advertising Manager for Nebraska Game and Parks.

The mission of the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is stewardship of the state’s fish, wildlife, park, and outdoor recreation resources in the best long-term interests of the people and those resources.

New Lincoln South Rotary Club Board Members Elected

The annual nomination and election process for Board Members is complete. These Board Members will serve two-year terms starting July 1, 2017.

Thank you to all of the Rotary Club Members for nominating and voting and a special thank you to all who agreed to be included on the ballot.

Rich's Vocational Presentation

Rich Morris - is a Financial Planner and also owns a tax service company. He admitted not knowing what he wanted to do in College but his father was an Accountant so that seemed to fit.

He is married with 3 children. Currently waiting for a college acceptance for graduate school for one of the daughters.

Rich has enjoyed his time with Lincoln South Rotary Club and looks forward to getting to know all of the members better.

Meeting Day Survey

The Lincoln South Rotary Club Board has been approached about our meeting day. Is Friday serving our Members and Club well or would there be a benefit to change to Thursday. Lincoln #14 meets on Tuesday and Lincoln East meets on Wednesday.

An email was sent out with a survey - please read and reply. We want input from all members.

Salute To Business to Honor Speedway

Speedway will be honored at Rotary's Annual Salute to Business on April 4, 2017.. They operate under the names of Speedway Motors (http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Info/AboutUs) and Speedway Properties (http://www.speedwayproperties.com/index.htm).

Grant Project Ideas Needed

Lincoln South Rotary supports projects and activities in many ways. We can periodically provide funds through grant programs. There are grants available through the Lincoln South Rotary Club Foundation as well as matching grants through Rotary District 5650.

RYLA Volunteers and Participants

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) in District 5650 is a weekend camp program. This year it will be April 7 (noon) to April 9 (noon) at Camp Kitaki in Louisville. RYLA programs focus on leadership and provide an opportunity for the participants to practice what they have learned. Click here for the District 5650 RYLA Website Page.
