Lincoln South Rotary Club is partnering with the Habitat For Humanity by providing trees for a home being built in Lincoln. On March 16 we heard from Josh Hanshaw of the Habitat For Humanity about the organization and our project.
Lincoln South Rotary Club has many activities, special events and holidays coming up the next couple of months. Watch the website calendar closely for meeting changes. We will not meet at The Venue March 23, March 30, April 20 or April 27. But, we will meet most of those weeks - at an alternate location, time, and/or day. Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy Rotary outside of a regular meeting!
Congratulations and thank you to Kay and Jim Wunderlich for their investment in the future of The Rotary Foundation. They have become bequest society members.
It is time to sell (or buy) tickets for the Annual Grocery Grab with Russ's. The Grocery Grab is our major source of funds for the Scholarship awards.
Last year the winner was a single mom who filled the family freezer and pantry with $1,000 in food! A couple of years ago the winning ticket benefited Saint Mark's Food Pantry - a great way to support the needy in our community.
Members are asked to present ideas of potential projects for us to support - non-profit organizations needing help. We have two opportunities for grants for $1,000 and $2,000. Please bring your ideas (provide the information below) to Nicki Klein, Clay Ehlers or Lance Odom.
Kay announced that we would like to step-up our donations to Polio Plus in order to reach our $32 per capita goal. Thank you to all who helped toward reaching that goal this week:
