Friday we heard Juan Rodriguez discuss Proyecto Cultural and the dancers of Grupo Folklorico Sangre Azteca.

 

Proyecto Cultural is dedicated to the preservation of Hispanic Culture. Through a select group of young leaders they bring exciting cultural enrichment programs to the community. The goal is to increase cultural awareness by providing enjoyable and significant educational performances, and to expand the divresity of the audience in a gang-free and drug-free environment.

The event will again be at the home of John and Nancy Herdman. Social starts at 6:00 and will include a gift exchange.

The Rotary Clubs will host various evening events open to all Rotary Members, Family Members, Friends and Potential Members. Many of you have heard of the work being done in Zambia by a team led by Dr. Chuck Erickson of Lincoln East Rotary. The focus is on child health, poverty alleviation and water improvement.

 

The team is working on the next trip and plan to include time to enjoy the beauty of Africa and a safari.

Trip timeline - mid-June for 12-14 days

Deadline - Respond by mid-January; to determine interest in the Safari (and for time to get visas, etc.)

Lincoln South Rotary Club will offer Nuts, Candy and Coffee products again this year for the Holidays. 

 

Funds are used to support our community service projects such as the Dictionary program and high school scholarships.

 

With this fundraiser, club members can pre-order products to sell*, or you can just place orders as you make sales. Orders placed by Noon on Tuesdays will be available at Rotary that same Friday.
