Wayne shared great stories and beautiful picture of his time at the Rotary International Convention in Seoul South Korea held May 28 through June 1. 

 

There were 160 countries represented with 43,000 participants registered. Interpretation was provided for 6 different languages.

 

Besides Wayne and Rosita, Jenny and Tom Cardwell also attended the convention.

 

Mourning Hope Camp Erin was selected as the recipient of the $1,000 grant from the Lincoln South Rotary Club Foundation.

 

We plan to honor them, and present the check, at the upcoming wine tasting event. Your support of that event will help fund future grants.

Lincoln South Rotary will partner with other Rotary Clubs in the area for our annual Strike Out Polio with Rotary and the Lincoln Saltdogs evening. The event is Thursday, August 25.

The game is a fundraiser to End Polio Now.

We learned on Friday that Lincoln South Rotary Club was again recognized as one of the top-performing clubs in Rotary District 5650.

 

Topping off the awards was the Rotary International Presidential Citation - Gold Level. Only 4 of the 43 clubs in Rotary District 5650 qualified this year.

The club got a view of the new Rotary Exchange Banners. Anyone who is traveling and is considering attending Rotary while away should take a banner to exchange. It is a great way to get comfortable at another club. See Nicki for banners.
