On November 11 we were scheduled to get an update on polio cases, surveillance and Rotary's involvement through Polio Plus.
Gretchen Bren, District 5650 Polio Plus Chair, provided statistics and details . . . and much more. She inspired us to stay dedicated to eradicating polio.
It was great to see Jason Smith, a former member of Lincoln South Rotary on Friday November 11.
Jason is currently a member of the Norman, Oklahoma club and we did a banner exchange. He told us that he thinks and speaks of Lincoln South Rotary often - bragging about the club and our accomplishments. He said he is proud to say he started his Rotary career with such a dynamic club.
Thank you Jason for the kind words and for being part of our Rotary family.
Lincoln South Rotary Club will offer Nuts, Candy and Coffee products again this year for the Holidays.
Funds are used to support our community service projects such as the Dictionary program and high school scholarships.
With this fundraiser, club members can pre-order products to sell*, or you can just place orders as you make sales. Orders placed by Noon on Tuesdays will be available at Rotary that same Friday.
Earlier we reported that Wayne and Rosita were moving to Kansas. We will miss Wayne's leadership as his Presidency of our club was cut short.
We will also miss Rosita - especially her dedication to the position of Greeter and providing the inspiring and informative Rotary Minutes for our meetings.
