BIO

Amrita (Ambi) Mahapatra is an Occupational Therapist by training. She came to USA in 1977 and moved to Lincoln on 1985.

She is a Sikh, married to a Hindu.  She is a Community leader, connect members of different communities and facilitate discussions. She serves on the Board of “Interfaith” , Mayor’s Advisory Committee. She has served as  Chairperson and President of Indian Association of  Lincoln-Nebraska and Hindu temple at Omaha. She has given many lectures on Hinduism, Sikh religion at UNL, churches and social gatherings.

She loves to write, Paint and Quilt stitching.
