Kay and Jim Wunderlich set out for an 18 day trip that included the Rotary International Convention in Hamburg.

They arrived in Paris May 30th and met Kurt and Kay Vorheis from California (Jim’s sister Kay). They traveled to Amsterdam for 2 days visiting many sites and museums including the home of Ann Frank.

They then traveled to Hamburg for the start of the Rotary International Convention. The first night was "Taste of Hamburg" which provided an opportunity to taste German foods and drink and start to meet other convention-goers.

The opening ceremony for the International Convention included a presentation by Nella Fantasia, Nalia was a young Korean orphaned at 3 and trafficked. He escaped at age 9 to “sing on the street corners” for money.  After winning Korea's Got Talent, singing with the voice quality of an opera singer, he is now paying it forward.

Incoming Rotary International President Mark and Gay Maloney were celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary. Mark's visions for the future included increasing membership by women in Rotary to 30% by the year 2023 with women on the International Board at 31% by that time.
