Joe Roberts, Lincoln South Rotary Clubs' Chair for The Rotary International Foundation, reported that the club had a record year for giving this year.
Though we will not know exactly where we end up in the Per Capita Giving award category until the District Conference, we are surely going to be included. Our numbers:
$13,690.00 - Total given to the Annual Programs Fund (the fund that is used on an annual basis - to fund projects throughout the year)
$318.37 - Per Capita Giving to the Annual Programs Fund (our goal is $120 per year per member); this is a record level of per capita giving for our Club
$3,126.00 - to Polio Plus for the year; this is from our Happy Dollars and the Strike Out Polio event
An additional $10,000 was given to the Endowment Fund; those funds are invested - the principal is not used. This is very important to ensure the future of The Rotary Foundation.
