Last November a group of past, current, and future Lincoln South Rotary Club Presidents met to discuss the financial health of Lincoln South Rotary.  The concern is the annual loss the Club continues to face.
Each year the Club losses between $2,000 and $3,000.  Thus far the loss has been covered by the operating reserve, but in the next 10 years that reserve will be depleted.

To address this concern the group of past Presidents reviewed the current income and expenses.

When the expenses were reviewed the group felt that to reduce any expenses would have a negative impact on the programs we do for our community, our State and internationally.  This would greatly impact our mission as a Club.

So, after lengthy discussions, the group concluded that we need to increase revenue by taking a three-step approach.

Step one was to raise the meeting fee to $17.00 to cover the cost of our meals (the Club had been losing money each week at $15.00).
Step two is to raise the dues from $220.00 to $245.00.
Step three is to conduct several smaller fund-raising activities each year and plan a larger fund-raising event every few years.

The new dues increase will become effective for the next Rotary year, which begins 7/1/22.
