On September 21 we heard from Jean Lovell during our Member Moment segment.
Jean is a native of Gering. She went to College then taught for a while then returned to college and got her law degree.

She is the first woman to practice law in the Scottsbluff-Gering area.

Jean held a number of positions and was eventually appointed as a District Judge. She retired from that position about 6 years ago.

She says retirement is great - she loves traveling. She has also been a long-time volunteer spending a great deal of time on her church council.

She likes Rotary for the service projects but mostly the fellowship. It is rewarding to meet others that have some of the same interests that she has - and people that believe in service.

Jean is a big Elvis Presley fan. She even named her dog Presley.
