Lincoln South Rotary Club member Jeremiah Blake recently presented his Member Moment.
Jeremiah told us that his last name is pronounced Blakey (though spelled Blake). And, his Birthday was the day he presented his Member Moment!

Jeremiah grew up in South Dakota and his parents and siblings still live there. He is the middle child - he likes to make peace and is a bit of a wall flower - quietly observing.

He attended UNL with a focus on Ag Economics. He learned that there was a position available to work with Senator Osborne so he moved to Washington D.C. which started his career in politics. After working for various US Officials he returned to Nebraska in 2008 and worked in State Government. Now he is in government affairs with Charter Communications.

Jeremiah is married and they have three children - 10, 7 and 2.

He said that attending Rotary on Fridays is a great way to finish the work week and start the weekend. He finds the meetings refreshing and rewarding, allowing him to relax and enjoy the conversation and speakers.
