Joyce Michaelis shared information about her family and interests during the Member Moment at Lincoln South Rotary on February 23.
She started by pointing out that Clay Ehlers is her son-in-law. Her daughter Julianne and Clay have daughter Claire who is active in music and theater. She also has a Son and three other grandchildren all with varied sport interests.

Joyce has been in Rotary about 10 years. She learned about Rotary during dinner discussions at a banquet of the Girl Scouts board.

She likes the mission of Rotary and the fact that the funds that we donate go toward programs and directly impact the people who need them. She also likes and uses the 4-Way Test*. When she is uncertain or life throws her a challenge she often refers to the 4-Way Test and it helps keep her grounded.

You may not know that Joyce collects nativities - she enjoys shopping for them during her travels and often receives them as gifts.

*Thank you to Joyce for reminding us of the 4-Way-Test.

THE 4-WAY TEST OF THE THINGS WE THINK SAY AND DO . . .
  1. Is it the Truth?
  2. Is it fair to all concerned?
  3. Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
  4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
