I apologize for the misunderstanding on the Meeting Room Switch. When I got called I do not recall her asking if they could put us in the Lincoln Room - I assumed it was our "normal" switch with Kiwanis. Out Club Service Team stepped up "big time".
Members did not learn until they arrived that they had to walk around to the restaurant restaurant (SORRY).
I hope that we did not lose many of you - choosing not to make that walk.
Bob carried all of the items to set up our room from the Cornhusker Room to the Lincoln Room and spent a great deal of time trying to figure out where to put the banner, badge box, etc. There was no way to hang the Four-Way Test Banner so he "became the banner display stand" as we recited it at the end of the meeting.
We had no podium. But, we were set up with space for our speaker to connect her laptop.
Tom had to consolidate all of his check-in items into a small place - and it was the same area used for his lunch plate.
Tami was our photographer for the day and she struggled to get a good angle of our speaker and our banner - without getting any members in the photo.
Syd and Nicki had their challenges - without excess space for their "stuff".
Thank you to everyone for the flexibility and understanding.
