She told us that she was honored to serve using the Rotary Theme - The Magic of Rotary - the last theme that Rotary would have. She shared that there will still be a message from the President - but it will not be treated as a Rotary Theme.

Early in the year we had a meeting joint with Kiwanis that was held at Epic Church - thank you to Bobby Cunningham for making that work. And, we participated in the Dictionary Project - one of her favorites - she hopes that we are able to continue that project.

We adopted Little Free Pantries as an ongoing project. Members are encouraged to fill libraries but can also get products to member Michael and he will include them as he fills pantries.

Other featured service projects were Cedars hygiene products and Big Gumdrop Outdoors where we provided items for fishing, hiking etc. to help youth connect to the outdoors. She shared that during an event at Epic Church, Elijah and his team had an activity - and they used some of our donated items.

There was a soup / chili benefit for the Lincoln South Rotary Club Foundation - raising $1200.

We were part of the all-city Rotary event - Salute to Business - this year honoring HUDL.

The District Conference was inspiring - the presenters and topics were varied and she appreciated learning from others. She presented a Paul Harris Fellow on behalf of Lincoln South Rotary Club to Don Eckles, the founder of Scooters. She accepted awards on behalf of the club - 3rd Per Capita Giving The Rotary Foundation Annual Fund. End Polio Now: Countdown to History Campaign certificate and The Rotary Citation.

She also gave recognition to Jenny Cardwell who earned the prestigious Rotary International Service Above Self Award. Only 150 Rotarians throughout the world receive this award annual - it is the highest service award that Rotary International presents. Suni commented that it was inspiring to her to affiliate with women leaders like Jenny.

There were many photos of the Holiday Party including entertainment by "The Disassociates" a local comedy improv group. As part of the Holiday Party, guests could chose to bring a donated item for the Center for People.

Lincoln South Rotary Club's strong tradition of supporting The Rotary International Foundation included 8 members recognized for Paul Harris Fellow ($1,000) or PHF+ levels. In addition Suni gave a shout out to Scott for his major donor status (gifts over $10,000).

The 2024-25 District Grant as for providing rainboots for EduCare. Club Members also donated mittens and hats to provide even better cold-weather outer wear.

The scholarship presentation was meaningful - the recipient was very deserving - and represented the type of student that we hoped to support with the larger, health-focused scholarship.

Finally there was an off-site meeting at Robber's Cave.

She thanked all who supported her - the board, chairs and regular club support members (presented here in alpha order):
