Lincoln South Rotary Club was represented - and honored - at the Rotary District 5650 Conference October 13-14, 2023. Click here for our photo album.
The Conference program was full of activity including a number of educational and inspirational presentations. There was a tour of the Chip Davis studio where the Manheim Steamroller songs are created and recorded. We had a coffee tasting with Rotary Peace Fellow Daniel Cato on the creation and focus of Cafe Pazifico (https://cafepazifico.com/) helping Columbia with expanding the coffee industry and moving away from drugs. Ahman Green was a featured speaker and we discussed some of the current initiatives of Rotary International including mental health.
On Friday, Lincoln South Rotary Club recognized speaker Dr. Lawrence Chatters with a Paul Harris Fellow. Click here to read about Dr. Chatters.
On Saturday, Nicki Klein participated on the panel about Polio National Immunization Days (NID). We learned that there will be an NID in India - and this may be the last opportunity to participate. Saturday night was a celebration. There was some "whoopin' and hollerin'" from Lincoln South Rotary Club.We were recognized for 2022-23 achievements:
