On August 24, Scott Delisi presented a Member Moment.
Scott was President of Lincoln South Rotary Club 1999-2000.
He was raised on a farm - and is still a farm kid at heart. His family farm is just west of Lincoln. He talked about the skills you learn at a young age on the farm - such as driving a truck by age 9.
He attended UNL, first in the ag college but quickly changing to the business college. He has been in the insurance business for 31 years - the last 21 have been with Ameritas. He is in the individual disability insurance division. He travels a great deal for work but also tries to find opportunity to travel for pleasure . . . and keep those separate.
Scott joined Rotary because he was asked - by Joe Roberts and Rod Gale. He remembers the first project he participated in was cleaning up the Easter Seal Campground area. The most memorable project was when Lincoln South Rotary Club built a portable 9-hole miniature golf course for the Northeast Family Center (I located a few photos and attached below).
He enjoys all of us - the friendships that have developed coupled with the common purpose and passion to help others.
