Because of the generosity of Lincoln South Rotary Club Members and friends, we presented 47 blankets to the People's City Mission on November 5, 2021. Just 3 more and we will meet the goal of 50 blankets.

We received 44 blankets for the clients of the People's City Mission. Thank you to Sue Merrill for chairing this drive!

Information on the Blanket Drive as it was presented to us:

Lincoln South Rotary Club is holding a blanket drive for the People's City Mission. From now through November 5.

The need:
Blankets.
Each person that comes to the Peoples City Mission gets a blanket.
It is their blanket to take with them when they leave the facility.
There is a constant need because of turnover.

The goal is to collect 50 (representing one for each club member):
New Blankets
Twin Size Adult Blankets - they need to fit twin size beds
Not Bulky - no comforters - they do not have the laundry capacity to handle bulky blankets

The project is being chaired by Sue (click here to email her).

Bring the blankets to a Rotary Club Meeting or contact Sue to see about pick up / connection.

The blankets will be presented to the Peoples City Mission representative at our November 5 Rotary Club Meeting.
