Arlene Rea, with the Friendship Force, told us about the students visiting from Kyrgyzstan.
It was a full house at Lincoln South Rotary Club with many Rotarians in attendance in addition to the Friendship Force hosts and guests.
The students from Kyrgyzstan were originally slated to be exchange students in 2020. With the pandemic, their international study programs were cancelled. This was an opportunity for them to visit the United States in place of their exchange student experience. They spent time in Washington D.C. and then in Nebraska.
The scheduled guests were Salkynai Emilbekova (group leader), hosted by Judy Keetle; Begaim Akmatova and Aidina Kazymbek, hosted by De Tonack; Nursultan Kenzheev, hosted by Gwen Meister and Bill Behmer; Ulukmyrza Imanov and Bekzhan Kasymbekov, hosted by Duane and Betty Starr; Bekbolot Ergeshbaev, hosted by Bruce and Carlene Keim; Bermet Darbisheva and Viktoriia Efimova, hosted by Phyllis Arth; Milagres Alymbekova and Aizada Berdibekova, hosted by Barb Ridder.
