The Lincoln South Rotary Club Board met on August 1, 2025. On the agenda was a review of recommendations to revitalize the club - items that came from the Survey of Members, Club Assembly July 11 and Past President Meetings,.
The Board voted to accept these recommendations*:
- Suspend video conferencing
- Continue with current meeting location/time/day of week and frequency
- Exception - months with 5 Fridays (and no Holidays) - consider meeting 4 Fridays and use other Friday for social, service event
- Schedule club socials at least quarterly
- Schedule one or two off-site meetings during the year
- Service Projects Committee Set Up; that committee could coordinate the annual District Grant Project, work on signature project, have other single session projects
- Member Engagement - restart member moments, member orientation’
- Include in budget - support for President-elect to attend Rotary International Convention ($1,000 / $1,500)
- Include in budget - in addition to Past President recognition and Rotarian of the Year, funds for President to purchase gifts to recognize team
- Add Board Members from Past Presidents having history with the Club - elected by Club Members July 18 - Brad Carter, John Herdman, Matt Horak
