We got to know Sjohn Watson a little better during the Rotary Club meeting November 30.
Sjohn grew up in Lincoln with one younger brother. His first career was with Kawasaki as production supervisor.
At age 36 he decided to return to school and became a chiropractor. He was the oldest in his class and the other students referred to him as Papa John.
He enjoys fishing and hunting and has a love of American muscle cars. He rebuilt a 1969 Camaro from the ground up.
When asked what he likes about Rotary he warned us that he would get a little "sappy". . . . Lincoln South Rotary is his first Rotary experience and he said what he loves is being with all of us. It is a great way to start the weekend. He said the warm welcome, smiling faces, and good friendships are unforgettable.
He shared that he named his practive "A New Beginning" after the adoption agency where they got their daughter.
He also shared that is name - Sjohn - was a concoction made up by her mom - a French Pronunciation but a made-up spelling that came from a cartoon cat played by Robert Goulet in the animated film Gay Purr-ee.
