Lincoln South Rotary Club's Foundation Chair - Joe Roberts - provided us with information about The Rotary Foundation (TRF) and this year's fund drive.
Joe reminded us that Lincoln South Rotary Club has this drive during December and January of the year - we do not ask throughout the year.

During this annual drive, we ask members to contribute toward the Annual Programs Fund - this is the fund that supports the on-going programs of Rotary such as Grants.

In supporting the Annual Programs Fund, our goal this year:
Every Rotarian Every Year
Increase Members using TRF Direct

Every Rotarian Every Year - Lincoln South Rotary Clubs asks members to consider a contribution in the amount of $120 each year. Even at smaller amounts, having some contribution from every member every year goes a long way to support TRF programs.

Using TRF Direct - this is an easy for members to contribute to TRF. Monthly draws can be taken from a bank account or credit card. This is an easy way to budget for the contribution.

The annual drive provides a means for newer members to become Paul Harris Fellows. Once a member has accumulated at least $300, they are eligible to have their name put in a drawing every year that they contribution $120 or more. If drawn, they become an immediate Paul Harris Fellow with a value of $1,000.

Joe also talked about the Endowment Fund which was the topic of our meeting a couple of weeks ago. This fund is intended to provide permanent funding to support the programs of The Rotary Foundation. It is easy to contribute toward the Endowment fund by naming TRF in a will, insurance policy or other asset transfers. See Joe (click here to send an email) for details on any of the options.
