We have moved our Lincoln South Rotary Club meetings to the Cornhusker Room at The Venue.
After changing for the last two weeks, we are now planning to continue to meet in the Cornhusker Room. If we need to move to the Lancaster Room (a previous commitment by others for the Cornhusker Room or because of event size), that will be on our website in the meeting article and the meeting information for that day.
John Herdman and Tami Lambie, Membership Committee for Lincoln South Rotary Club presented "Membership Excitement - Retention and New Faces" at our meeting on October 8, 2021.
Lincoln South Rotary Club held a hybrid meeting (both in person at The Venue and by Zoom) on October 8, 2021. With the risk dial in mid-orange, and in compliance of the Lincoln South Rotary Club policy for in-person meeting attendance, we wore masks.
As announced at the Rotary Meeting, Lincoln South Rotary Club supports any member interested in participating in the Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI).
RLI is a facilitated program with active participation - not lecturing. Topics important to Rotary and Rotary Clubs such as Effective Service Projects, Membership Engagement, and understanding The Rotary Foundation are explored. You will discuss real challenges and exchange ideas.
The week of October 10-16 is Celebrate Community Week a joint project of Rotary, Kiwanis, Lions and Optimists. Grab a friend and have them join you for delivering meals on wheels, trail clean up, donating to the blanket drive or blood drive - or any other activity to serve our community.
TMCO was selected as the honoree for the Rotary Clubs of Lincoln Salute to Business in 2020. Due to the pandemic, the event was postponed and will now be on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. Registration deadline October 18, 2021.
Refer to the Club Calendar (click here) to keep up on Events, Activities, Deadlines and Speakers. There is a link at the top of the home page that you can check any time.
Tabitha notified us about a need for more volunteers / volunteer hours. Are you able to help? We have 6 generous Rotarians committed to provide additional service - can we get 2 more?
Tabitha will be on hand at our October 22, 2021 Rotary Meeting to take a group photo of our MOW Volunteers. Please plan to attend (don't forget to register by Wednesday Noon).
On March 25, 2022 our speaker will be Kim Baxter of North Platte Rotary. He will be traveling to Kenya for an eye clinic. Donated eyeglasses are repurposed to provide usable glasses for Kenyans.
We want to surprise him with this gift of donated eyeglasses. From now until March 25, bring your old eyeglasses to Rotary or get them to DeEtta (click here to email DeEtta).
Lincoln South Rotary Club has a long-standing tradition of strong support of The Rotary International Foundation. When a member has accumulated a total of $1,000 in donations, they are named a Paul Harris Fellow.
